About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic Diverse Learning Teacher (Secondary) to join our growing Diverse Learning team in this newly created role.
As a Diverse Learning Teacher at William Clarke College, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of adjustments for students with disability and for supporting the work of teachers with students with identified needs across our Secondary School. The role reports to the Director of Diverse Learning and is a part of the Diverse Learning Faculty and will involve collaboration with other members of the Diverse Learning team, classroom teachers and other staff across the College.
This is a Full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2025.
About You
- Experience in supporting students with additional needs
- Qualified teacher with appropriate NESA Accreditation
- Postgraduate qualifications in Special or Inclusive Education will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions that benefit all stakeholders
- Ability to empathise, collaborate and communicate with all teams and stakeholders
- An individual of integrity who is equally demanding and supportive when holding others accountable
- A person of initiative, who is approachable and relational
- Demonstrated ability to follow and uphold the cultural values, policies, procedures and statutory obligations
- Proficient in relevant computer applications as well as an ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems
- Actively foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Ability to undertake the duties of the position in accordance with William Clarke College’s Purpose, Values and Code Conduct
- Regularly practicing member of a Christian church
- Ability and confidence to openly share the Christian faith with students
- An activator of student learning
- A culture-builder with a proven ability to effectively engage students
- Valid Working with Children Check
