Wenona is seeking a dynamic and organised individual to take on a temporary leadership role as the Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide, support, and collaborate with students while enhancing their debating and public speaking skills.
The Position
- Coaching the students on public speaking and debating.
- Inspiring our students and continue to grow and develop their public speaking and debating skills.
- Coordinating a team of debating and public speaking coaches to assist with training and tournaments.
- Coordinating opportunities including the Junior and Senior Debating Development Program, annual Debating Camp and Junior and Senior Interhouse Debating
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, including coaches, students and parents.
- Liaising with external stakeholders including competition organisers, adjudicators and debating and public speaking coordinators from other schools
- Managing and organising events, activities and tournaments.
This is position will be for the duration of Term 1, 2026.
About You
You may come from an education, coaching, debating, communications, or public speaking background. Here you will promote and inspire students to develop their debating and public speaking skills. You will display leadership qualities by guiding students, and managing various events and activities, fostering a positive and fun environment for students to thrive.
