About Us:
Warrah is a disability services provider in North West Sydney, inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy. For over 50 years, we have supported individuals with disabilities through our Specialist School, Supported Independent Living, and Community Support Services. Our small Specialist School provides tailored education for students with moderate to severe disabilities (K-12) in a nurturing, Steiner-based learning environment.

The Role:
We seek a dedicated Assistant Principal to support the Principal in leading our school, ensuring high-quality education, effective administration, and a strong, inclusive learning culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop special education and Steiner-inspired teaching strategies.
  • Support curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Guide teachers in instructional methods, classroom management, and student support.
  • Ensure compliance with NESA and government regulations.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
  • Drive school improvement initiatives and implement the Strategic Plan.
  • Engage with parents, manage enrolments, and oversee school administration.
  • Lead the NCCD funding process and maintain school records

Essential Criteria:

  • Teaching qualifications & current NESA registration at Proficient accreditation level.5+ years of teaching experience, including special education.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and data analysis.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing, behaviour management, and inclusive education.
  • Proficiency in IT and willingness to undertake Steiner pedagogy training.
  • NDISWC & WWCC compliance.

Desirable:

  • Passion for gardening, art, woodwork, or weaving.
