About the Role

Sydney Grammar School is seeking to employ a highly motivated and qualified Endpoint and Device Management Engineer within the School’s Technical Services department. This is a permanent full-time position.

The Endpoint & Device Management Engineer ensures the reliability, security, and standardization of all end-user devices across the School. This role manages the full lifecycle of shared and 1-to-1 devices, maintains system compliance, and collaborates with technical teams and vendors to provide a seamless and secure user experience.

Supporting a dynamic teaching and learning environment, the engineer ensures devices are curriculum-ready, well-maintained, and consistently available. Responsibilities include software updates, security patching, compliance monitoring, and device inventory oversight to align with operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 security policies, and compliance configurations.
  • Experience managing large shared or 1-to-1 device environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in educational or service-oriented IT environments.

Desirable

  • PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with the Essential Eight maturity model.
  • Proficiency in managing macOS and iPadOS using Jamf Pro.
  • Experience with Apple School Manager (ABM).
  • Experience managing desk phones or VoIP systems (e.g. Yealink).
  • Exposure to vendor coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator are highly regarded.

Commencement Date: Immediate Start
