Are you a strategic leader with a passion for community building, communications, and philanthropy? We are seeking a Head of Community Engagement to work with the Principal and College community to cultivate a positive culture of engagement and philanthropy to support the College’s Mission.

This newly created role will provide strategic direction and lead initiatives that contribute to the current and future wellbeing of the College. Reporting directly to the Principal, with participation on the Leadership team by invitation, you will manage a team of two; Enrolments Officer and Communications Officer.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

You will be responsible for strategic business planning and management across multiple areas, including:

  • Enrolments: Develop and manage a comprehensive enrolment strategy, overseeing the conversion of prospective families, and collaborating with the Enrolments Officer to sustain optimum enrolments.
  • Publications, Marketing & Communications: Strategically manage the College’s brand and reputation. Direct and coordinate College publications, online media, and advertising to ensure a consistent and positive identity. Manage media relations and act to enhance the College’s public image.
  • Community Relations and Events: Develop and maintain strategies for strong links with support groups, including the Parents and Friends Committee and Alumni. Assist with planning and organisation of whole-of-College events.
  • Fundraising: Develop and maintain strategies to increase the take-up of fundraising initiatives and plan/implement Capital Campaigns with support from the Leadership team and the Board.
  • Archives: Ensure records are made, kept, and used accurately and efficiently.

Role is full-time, working 46 weeks per year. 

Successful applicants will have: 

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications.
  • Significant leadership experience in marketing, communications, and fundraising.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of strategic plans with a demonstrated track record of achieving strategic outcomes.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with the College community and the public.
