About the role
We are seeking a creative and dedicated TAS Teacher (Food Tech and/or Textiles) to join our team on a contract (one year parental leave). You will be responsible for delivering engaging and enriching lessons in Food Technology and/or Textiles to our students in modern, highly equipped specialist rooms.
Start: Term 1 January 2025

What you’ll be doing
- Plan and deliver innovative lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities
- Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to foster student learning and achievement
- Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation
What we’re looking for
- Relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Demonstrated experience teaching TAS (Food Tech and/or Textiles) in a secondary school setting (Stage 6 experience desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and the school community
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student-centred learning
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated faculty team
