About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior English Teacher to join our high performing, collegial team. In this full-time role, you will help shape the educational journeys of our students, delivering engaging and impactful English lessons that inspire a love of learning.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Years 7-12.
  • Develop innovative and engaging teaching resources and assessments to support student learning and achievement.
  • Provide individualised feedback and support to students, helping them to develop their critical thinking, communication and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the English curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with all school policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
  • Significant experience teaching English across all levels, including Stage 6 (Advanced).
  • Strong subject matter expertise, with the ability to interpret data to adapt teaching methodologies to suit different learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • A passion for ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest pedagogy and technologies.
  • A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
