St Philip’s Christian College, Newcastle is seeking a dynamic, committed Christian to join our Mathematics team.
This position will commence Semester 2 2025 or January 2026.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- A Committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- A clear and well-articulated understanding of what it means to be a Christian teacher and the role of Christian Schooling.
- Experience teaching Year 7 – 12 Mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet students where they are individually and collectively.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with parents in the education and care of their children.
- Current Working with Children Check
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
- A mature Christian faith that is overt and allows for discussion and prayer about matters of faith as they relate to the teacher’s professional and personal journey.
- Able to collaborate effectively in team planning and/or team teaching as collaborative practice is a key approach to teaching and learning in the College.
- Able to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
