We are seeking a permanent full-time School Assistant (K-6) to join our team in 2025. 

This is an opportunity for a passionate educator to work within a collaborative team environment to nurture and support students with additional learning needs.

Core Requirements:
Applicants for the position of School Assistant must demonstrate at a minimum that they:

• Are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Reformed Evangelical Church.
• Conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the Campbelltown Anglican School ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the school community
• Have the ability to support student’s learning and development and assisting to ensure that the School provides quality Christian education to students
• Have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills
• Have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools  • Holds a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC)
• Work effectively and collaboratively in a team
• Demonstrated experience working in a special education school / environment (Desirable)
• Experience or training in similar roles would be of benefit, particularly in the area of emotional / behavioural support of students in a Special School setting (Desirable)

Core Responsibilities:
The School Assistant will:

• Support students in the learning of responsible behaviour and social skills
• Providing assistance and support to teachers and students as required
• Assisting in the preparation and organisation of classroom teaching tools
• Setting up and assisting in the implementation of indoor and outdoor learning programs
• Assisting students with a variety of additional needs
• Assisting with student supervision and behaviour management in either/ both indoor and outdoor learning environments, including supervision of lunch, where applicable
• Assisting in class with student integration opportunities, collaborating with St Peter’s Heart and St Peter’s Anglican Grammar Staff
• Undertaking other duties from time to time as directed by the Principal or an Executive member.

Details of Employment:
• This position is a permanent full-time position and we are open to discussing part-time options for suitable candidates.
• This position is responsible to Principal.
• The successful candidate will be paid at the rate for School Assistant – Level 3 under the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2021
• The role receives four weeks of Annual Leave (to be taken in December/January school holiday periods) and will be stood down for the remaining weeks during the school holidays; however their salary will be averaged over the full year.
