Position Summary:

The Science Laboratory Manager plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by managing the day-to-day operations of the school’s science laboratory. This includes preparing materials for practical lessons, maintaining equipment and safety standards, and supporting teaching staff in the implementation of the science curriculum.

  • Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time Position
    Term Time Only

The successful applicant will have:

  • Completion of relevant Diploma/Certificate IV and appropriate work-related experience.
  • Strong understanding of WHS regulations and laboratory safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the use of Hazardous substances, Risk Assessments, Safety Data Sheets and GHS for chemical.
  • Experience working in a laboratory and knowledge and understanding of the latest developments in laboratory technician practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Good communication skills – written and oral.
  • Ability to be organised, plan and meet schedules.
  • The ability to report incidents accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Current Working with Children Check (NSW WWCC).
  • Membership of a local Christian church or community
