St Charbel’s College is an independent Maronite Catholic Co-Educational K-12 school administered by the Lebanese Maronite Order of Monks. St Charbel’s College promotes a love of learning and the Gospel values of justice, peace, love, compassion, acceptance, generosity and service.

The College is seeking a TAS/CAPA teacher to join the Secondary School in 2026. The role is being offered on a temporary fixed term basis commencing 27 January 2026 for a duration of 1 year.

The preferred candidate will have the ability to teach Food Tech and other TAS/CAPA classes.

The College is currently recruiting for the role of an TAS/CAPA teacher within the Secondary school.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated learning experiences for all students
  • Integrate Maronite Catholic ethos, values, and Gospel teachings into daily learning and school life
  • Actively contribute to the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of students
  • Use effective assessment practices to monitor student progress and inform teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to enhance student learning and wellbeing
  • Participate in school liturgies, celebrations, and community events

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Australian Teaching qualifications and previous Australian teaching experience
  • A current NESA accreditation
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
  • Demonstrated administrative skills, with high level of flexibility and adaptability and ability to prioritise and work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability in integrating ICT in the classroom
  • Experience in using engaging and relevant learning experiences
  • Experience teaching in mixed ability classrooms
  • Thorough understanding and experience in applying formative and summative practices to assess student learning
  • Ability to teach Food Tech is preferred
