About the role
ICT Support Officer
St Aloysius’ College is seeking an energetic, innovative and customer focused IT professional, for the ongoing full-time role of ICT Support Officer. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, and in collaboration with the wider ICT Support Team, this role will provide a range of vital technical support to College staff and students, including responding to, prioritising, investigating, and escalating support requests through the IT Helpdesk system.
In this role, you will demonstrate exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and work proactively to resolve technical issues, ensuring a positive and efficient support experience for all stakeholders at various levels. Furthermore, you will assist in facilitating the delivery of special projects which often involve the development of pilot tests and proof-of-concept scenarios.
This is a full-time position to commence in Term IV, offering an excellent opportunity for a recent IT graduate or an experienced IT professional looking to make a meaningful impact and contribute to a vibrant learning community.

About You
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;
- Relevant and appropriate qualifications in Information Technology;
- 3-5 years in a general ICT support role;
- Experience supporting MacOS, IOS and Microsoft operating systems;
- Proven experience in client facing ICT service and support;
- Proven experience in taking ownership of requests and incidents to resolution;
- Demonstrated experience in utilising a ticketing system to prioritise, track, and manage workflow efficiently;
- Knowledge of basic networking principles is highly preferred;
- Exceptional team player with strong verbal & written communication skills;
- Develop and create documentation and support materials for systems & applications;
- Experience in the education sector is advantageous;
- Ability to easily adapt and learn new technologies;
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as, Essential Eight;
- Operational experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory and Group Policy;
- High level of organisational and time management skills;
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check;
- Strong commitment to child safeguarding principles.
