Established in 1879, St Aloysius’ College is a Catholic, Jesuit day school for boys from Year 3 to Year 12. Situated in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it has an enrolment of over 1300 students.

About the Role
In 2023, St Aloysius’ College established a new Campus in Rozelle, dedicated to our Year 9 students. The Program provides a tailored opportunity for young men in the important years of middle adolescence to be formed and educated in an environment conducive to their needs.
Commencing in January 2025, we are seeking a dynamic and innovative Teacher who is passionate about the delivery of an inclusive, engaging and holistic educational experience for our Year 9 students. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity to teach across an integrated program, with proven experience or knowledge in teaching Stage 5 History, English and/or Religious Education advantageous, though not essential.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an effective classroom practitioner to design, facilitate and evaluate academic programs and learning experiences in the pursuit to engage students in learning opportunities that promote their academic and pastoral development in the Jesuit tradition.
This role represents a unique and rewarding opportunity, for a highly experienced educator, or recent and motivated graduate to join the College.
This is a full-time, ongoing position and will report to the Head of Campus – St Aloysius’ College, Rozelle.

About You
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;
- Appropriate secondary teaching qualifications, and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NSW legislation and College policy;
- Ability to deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum, with demonstrated experience or knowledge in teaching Stage 5 History, English and/or Religious Education advantageuous. Capacity to teach more than one of these subject disciplines would be an advantage;
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of NESA based programs;
- Possess an understanding of innovative, contemporary education practices that are student-centred, technology-rich and differentiated;
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, students, parents and external stakeholders;
- Outstanding ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology into learning programs to improve educational outcomes;
- Possess a valid Working With Children Check.
- Strong commitment to child safeguarding principles;
