ABOUT THE POSITION
Shellharbour Anglican College is seeking to appoint a qualified and suitably experienced Science Teacher with ability to teach Stage 6 for 2025.
We are looking for a dynamic and exceptional classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire our students. Our teachers need to be able to contribute to the all-round development of our students, implement cooperative teaching strategies and work in a team environment with a passionate teaching and learning focus.

Other teaching duties may include Christian Studies and Sport Senior School. All Senior School staff are expected to fulfil a role as a pastoral care tutor in our pastoral care system and in our outdoor education and camping program.

ABOUT YOU
An energetic and authentic educator, committed to fostering a deep love of learning in students, you will have a strong personal Christian Faith demonstrating a commitment to Christian teaching practice and be a regular practicing member of a Bible-based Christian church. You will have the ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into your classroom teaching and set appropriate academic and behavioural expectations, and to lead others in these areas. You will demonstrate passion for teaching and learning as well as for differentiated learning and assessment that caters to the individual needs of all students.

A willingness to be flexible in approaches to learning, including exploring evidence-based and innovative pedagogies and new approaches to the teaching of Science is essential.

You will have a sound understanding and knowledge of the New South Wales Science Curriculum. You will preferably have experience in Science, preferably with expertise and experience in Biology, to the HSC and using digital technology for student and teacher learning.
