Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate casual General Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Hills Adventist College, Kellyville Campus. The College is Pre-School to Year 12, that aims to provide quality Christian education to students from all religious and cultural backgrounds. The College operates across two campuses, one located at Castle Hill and the other at Kellyville.

The work of the Casual General Maintenance Assistant is essential to the operation of the College. The appointee will assist the Campus & Facilities Manager in caring for the maintenance and continuous improvement of College assets, buildings, gardens and grounds to provide a safe, visually appealing environment for staff and students. Compliance with relevant WH&S and other applicable regulations and standards is assumed.

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will hold a current Working with Children Check in NSW.  It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school.

Essential Criteria:

  • Commitment to the mission, values and beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Commitment to the College Staff Code of Conduct
  • A strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position or in general property maintenance
  • Ability to perform work to a high standard, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Have the capacity to manage the physical expectations of the role

Desirable Criteria:

  • Trade qualifications at Certificate III or equivalent
  • WH&S training
  • Driver license
