Scots All Saints College is seeking an outstanding Science Teacher to lead our Science and STEM Department commencing Term 1 2025. This is a permanent full-time position with responsibility for providing leadership to staff and students, curriculum development and implementation and overall management of the Department.

Scots All Saints College is an independent, multi-campus Prep-12 co-educational day and boarding school  located in Bathurst, Central West NSW. Strong verbal and written communication, motivational, organizational, and leadership skills are among those most essential to Senior School Heads of Department and Teachers. In this role, individuals should be energetic and enthusiastic, displaying a high level of tolerance, patience, and support. They should be good listeners. The Head of the Science / STEM should be comfortable interacting with those of various backgrounds and professional levels, from parents to school administrators. Besides these important abilities, a Senior School Head of Department must possess the following skills:

The successful candidate will have:

•         The Bachelor of Teaching Degree (Secondary) with a specialisation in and well-developed pedagogical content knowledge and expertise in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, preferably including HSC marking

•         Successful teaching experience with the capacity to support and develop improvement in teaching and learning.

•         Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to foster positive relationships with students, peers, staff and parents.

•         Demonstrated leadership of a team, improving the collective outcomes of both staff and student performance.

•         Demonstrated understanding of the NESA requirements for the SCIENCE / STEM Key Learning Area Stages Four to Six

•         Ability to work collaboratively in a large and diverse team

•         Exceptional personal standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism

•         Highly refined communication skills, both written and verbal

•         Ability to uphold and promote the Christian values and ethos of the College

•         a current Working with Children Check
