The successful candidate will be able to teach Christian Studies across the Primary and Secondary Years, lead chapel services and facilitate our Christian youth groups within SGS.

Skills and Abilities:
An ability to teach Christian Studies across Primary and Secondary Years
An ability to plan, prepare and deliver quality learning experiences
Build strong positive relationships with members of the school community including employees, students and parents.
An ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to engage and support diverse students.
An ability to create dynamic and engaging programs that include a multitude of ICT opportunities for student learning.
Essential Criteria
A Bachelor of Theology and/or Education OR Advanced Diploma in Theology or Ministry
Valid teaching accreditation and registration. (If applicable)
A deep passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the emerging generation
Experience in dynamic church and school-based ministry to children and families.
Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities, school decision making processes and professional development.
Desire to work as part of a team, both within school and with the local parish to expand opportunities for students to grow their faith.
Capacity and experience in teaching Christian Studies.
Commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people.
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes) and will be committed to our school values and proactively contribute to our SGS team.
Applicants will be screened for appropriate child protection purposes as we are a Child Safe School.
