Presbyterian Ladies’ College Armidale (PLC Armidale) is an independent girls’ school with a long and rich history of providing girls’ education since 1887. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the school grounds, including carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.
- Undertake general gardening duties, including ground preparation and maintenance of lawns and gardens.
- Assist with the movement of equipment, furniture, goods, and materials across the school site, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Operate school buses.
- Undertake any other general repair or maintenance tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the school.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated trade background or relevant maintenance/handyperson experience.
- Possess a current Light Rigid Driver’s Licence or be willing to obtain one.
- Proven ability to perform the physical requirements of a maintenance worker safely and in accordance with work health and safety regulations.
- Strong ability to manage a busy work schedule, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- Demonstrated competency in the safe and appropriate operation of power tools, garden and lawn care equipment.
You will also need to provide a Working With Children Check Clearance Number and date of birth. Information about obtaining a WWCC is available when applying on our website.
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
