High School English Teacher

ABOUT PAL BUDDHIST SCHOOL

As Australia’s first and only Buddhist primary and high school, we are a pioneer school that aims at providing education that is open, honest and real. We cultivate, in our students, a love for community, respect and appreciation, which in turn, provides a very wholesome environment for all staff and students.

We are a young and innovative school, and in the short life so far, we have managed to climb the ranks in NAPLAN and HSC (2nd to Sydney Grammar in 2022 HSC, for highest % of students achieving ATAR above 95), demonstrating our authentic goal of producing young leaders, ready to make a difference.

Our school-wide policy empowers teachers to effectively address behavioral issues while also prioritising students’ well-being and mental health, which support every individual in engaging more fully and achieving higher academic performance.

As such, we encourage applicants who are looking for a workplace where they can develop themselves professional, personally, and spiritually.

OUR CULTURE OF TEACHING

Our teaching mantra is, “We teach students, not subjects”  and as such, our staff culture is founded on making a meaningful impact on the interests and aspirations of students. We are a team of creative, energetic and driven individuals, looking to make a real difference and change in education, one that is aligned with contemporary thinking and strategies.

You will be joining a teaching team that embraces innovative thinking, welcomes feedback, highly values genuine collaboration and turning our passions into memorable experiences in the classroom.
