Moriah College is an independent, co-educational Jewish school offering Preschool, Primary, and High School education. Nestled between Centennial Park and Queens Park in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, the College prides itself on providing the highest standard of Jewish education.

Moriah College offers a dual curriculum of Secular and Jewish Studies. It provides secular education, which exceeds the standards required by the various New South Wales authorities. At the same time, it provides a comprehensive and enriching Jewish Studies curriculum, faithful to the College’s founding philosophy. The educational program at Moriah College recognises the individual needs and interests of the students as well as the needs of the Community – maintaining a balance between the need to preserve and the need to respond to social, economic and cultural change.

Commencing Term 3 2025, Moriah College invites an engaging and experienced professional to join its dynamic, collegial, and high performing PDHPE faculty.
This is a full time maximum term position for 12 months replacing a teacher on leave.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be enthusiastic about their subject and want to inspire young people
  • Provide high quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs and activities that are contextually relevant, promote independent learning and integrate relevant technologies
  • Work as a collaborative and reflective member of the Faculty
  • Participate in the Co-Curricular life of the College
  • Be committed to ongoing professional learning

Experience Required:

  • NESA accreditation to teach in your relevant field
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Sports Science / VET Sports Coaching experience highly desirable
  • Have relevant teaching experience in a High School setting with a passion for learning and teaching
  • Have demonstrated experience in implementing educational best practice within their subject area
  • Possess well developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong work ethic, displaying determination, self-motivation and curiosity
