Moriah College is a co-educational Early Learning – Year 12 Jewish Day School based in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The College has earned an outstanding reputation for academic excellence complimented by dynamic co- and extra-curricular programs.

Commencing Term 2, 2025 or earlier by negotiation, we are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to join the High School and teach Jewish Life.

This position is a full time parental leave replacement until the end of the 2025 academic year, teaching year 9 and 10 Jewish Studies and year 11 Studies of Religion.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality teaching and learning programs to support Jewish Studies curriculum
  • Utilise positive education and wellbeing practices to guide students to strengthen their relationships, enhance resilience, promote mindfulness and build wellbeing
  • Provide educational adjustments required to cater for individual student needs for both high potential/high performing learners as well as those with disabilities
  • Work as a collaborative and reflective member of the faculty
  • Participate in the Co-Curricular life of the College
  • Be committed to ongoing professional learning

Experience Required:

  • NESA approved teaching qualification/accreditation
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR certification
  • Have relevant teaching experience in a High School setting with a passion for learning and teaching
  • Have demonstrated experience in implementing educational best practice within their subject area
  • Possess well developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong work ethic, displaying determination, self-motivation and curiosity
