Maronite College of the Holy Family – Parramatta is a K-12 Co-educational Catholic College under the administration of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family with an enrolment of over 1,300 students. We guide, challenge and encourage our students to achieve.

Join Our Team as our Primary Wellbeing Leader!

As our Stage Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting the pastoral care, wellbeing and management of students across our Stage 3. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students. You will play a key role in fostering a positive school culture where all children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

The role is a permanent teaching position with a two-year leadership contract with potential to be renewed following review.

There is also an opportunity to lead the English KLA in Primary for suitable candidates. This can be discussed at the interview stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver a comprehensive pastoral program across Stage 3.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support for students in their wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Work closely with staff to raise awareness of wellbeing issues and support them in managing classroom dynamics.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and families to ensure a supportive home-school partnership.
  • Monitor and track the effectiveness of wellbeing programs and make recommendations for improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Experience in a pastoral or wellbeing role within a primary school environment, ideally in upper primary (Stage 3)
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and families. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Passion: A deep commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of children and young people. A proactive approach to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Empathy and Sensitivity: The ability to handle sensitive issues with compassion and professionalism, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of all involved.
