About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science educator to join our dynamic teaching team at Loreto Normanhurst This opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences, and who thrives in a collaborative and innovative educational environment.
This role is permanent full time commencing Term 1 2026.
The Role
- Ability to teach Science across all stages; experience in teaching Stage 6, Earth and Environmental Science and Biology is highly desirable.
- Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.
- Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.
- Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A qualified secondary Science teacher with a strong understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.
- Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.
- Outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail.
- All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.
- Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
