We are seeking for an enthusiastic and engaged Cello Music Tutor to join our Music department on a casual basis.
The successful applicant is a highly motivated professional who demonstrates proficiency in their area of discipline and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff.
The Role
- Plan and deliver individual instrumental lessons in accordance with student’s experience, musical interest, and ability.
- Arrange a weekly rotating schedule of lesson times for students and communicate this schedule with the Head of Music.
- Prepare students for music evenings, eisteddfods and events scheduled in the music calendar.
- Prepare students for AMEB examinations as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Musical competence and demonstrated experience on a chosen instrument.
- Performance qualifications may include A Mus A, BMus, B Mus Ed or equivalent.
- High level knowledge of performance on their chosen instrument and high level aural and musicianship skills.
- Display strong interpersonal skills, be reliable and self-motivated.
- All applicants must possess a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
