About the Opportunity
Our school seeks to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our school on a Temporary Part Time basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a genuine desire to improve student outcomes. We welcome all applicants including university graduates in their last year, new graduates and experienced teachers.
This role will commence in Term 1 2025 till the end of Term 2 2025 (maternity leave cover).
Candidates will need to have a proven ability to:
- Teach English across all stages.
- Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.
- Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.
- Engage in curricular, pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Displays good understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.
- Is confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.
- Has outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Is able to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
- Displays a proactive approach to professional development and a desire to contribute to the broader school community.
- All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.
