About the Opportunity

We are seeking for an engaging, enthusiastic and highly professional Diverse Learning Assistant, who are passionate about ensuring all students learn to the best of their ability.

The role of Diverse Learning Assistant is to support the teacher in meeting the diverse needs of the students in their class while actively participating in lessons. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to work within a collaborative team environment nurturing and supporting students with diverse needs.

This role is a Permanent Part-Time commencing Term 1 2025.

  • Provide learning support to individual and small groups of students with diverse needs.
  • Provide in class support with the classroom teacher and in practical activities and excursions.
  • Prepare and source learning resources and assessment for students whose current achievement is significantly below their current stage of schooling.
  • Integrate digital learning into learning activities suitable for students with diverse needs.
  • Show a commitment to academic pastoral care and supporting student well-being.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualifications and/or experience in working with students with diverse needs.
  • Experience working with Primary and Secondary students is an advantage.
  • Display passion, commitment, integrity, knowledge and expertise.
  • Warm and welcoming manner as the primary point of contact for students with diverse needs.
  • Sound understanding of the learning and social/emotional needs of students with disabilities.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with all members of staff, students and parents.
