Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School senior campus for a permanent full-time Mathematics Teacher, commencing Term 1, 2025.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant education qualifications including a current NESA accreditation.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in Stages 4, 5 and 6.
  • A variety of effective teaching strategies that engage students of varying abilities on their path to achieving specific learning outcomes.
  • Experience in the design, production and administration of formative and summative assessments tasks.
  • Effective management strategies for students of differing abilities and levels of engagement.
  • Well-developed IT skills for:
    (i) Integration into classroom strategies
    (ii) Departmental Teaching and Learning initiatives
    (iii) Departmental administrative requirements
  • The desire to be a team-player in a collegial department with high expectations of its members and of its students.

As at February 2024, the salary for a Band 1 graduate teacher rose from $87,191 to $96,400 (11.31% above the AIS MEA) and the salary for the top of Scale Knox teacher has risen from $128,607 to $137,665 (12.19% above the AIS MEA).
