Director, Human Resources

The Director, Human Resources will play a vital role in the ongoing success of our School. The role spans operational human resources practices and compliance support, working closely with the School’s Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership Teams to operate the professional learning program for all staff. The successful candidate will provide high level guidance and support to the Executive and Senior Leaders to ensure that the School can attract, develop and retain requisite talent to deliver on the School’s Vision, operational needs and strategic priorities.

The Director of Human Resources (Director) is responsible for the delivery of operational human resource and compliance support across the School. This will involve the coordination and provision of effective and efficient generalist industrial, policy, risk and compliance advice to School leaders across the organisation and oversight of end-to-end recruitment processes.

The position will work closely with the School’s Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership Teams to support and operate professional learning programmes that support the progression of both School priorities and individual goals.

The Director has two direct reports; the Human Resources Coordinator, and the Payroll/Human Resources Officer (Human Resources Department). The Director will lead, inspire and guide their staff to support a positive and empowering culture which prioritises high-quality relationships between all staff.

This exciting role will suit an experienced Human Resources professional, with a breadth of experience across complex industrial environments. Experience in the promotion and support of a positive, forward looking organisational culture will be highly valued. The role will play a crucial part in supporting the “Staff Experience” focus area of the School’s Strategic Plan 2024-2026.
