About the Role
The Inclusive Learning Department is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team in supporting students with diverse learning needs. The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering targeted academic support, improving differentiation across the school, engaging with students and teachers, delivering evidenced-based interventions, and providing professional learning opportunities to colleagues.
The successful candidate will be a team player who can engage and work with a variety of staff. Desirable qualifications and experience include implementing Gifted and Talented education policies and programs, experience in the implementation, maintenance, evaluation, and tracking of research-based tutorial programs, and the capacity to support the teaching of core Senior School subjects (English, Mathematics, and Science). About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Appropriate Special Education or Inclusive Education qualification, or equivalent experience
- A big picture thinker with a thorough understanding of 21st century pedagogy and evidence-based, best practice for students with diverse learning needs
- A deep understanding of specific learning difficulties and other disabilities that affect learning
- An ability to train, equip and empower teachers to implement differentiation techniques
- The capacity to identify appropriate adjustments and create inclusive learning plans
- An understanding of State and Federal requirements for students with disability, and of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
- Capacity to administer, score and analyse diagnostic assessments
- Capacity to co-ordinate the delivery of disability provisions to students for assessment tasks
- An ability to work supportively with students, parents and teachers with strong interpersonal communication skills
- A team player who can engage and work with a variety of staff
Desirable:
- Qualification and experience in implementing Gifted and Talented education policy and programme
- Experience in the implementation, maintenance, evaluation and tracking of research-based tutorial programs
- Capacity to support the teaching of core Senior School subjects (English, Mathematics and Science)
