Al Amanah College is seeking a dedicated and strategic Financial Controller to join our team. This role is crucial to our organisation’s financial health and requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in financial management, analysis, and reporting. The position is responsible for leading the school’s financial planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Monitor compliance with financial policies, funding guidelines, and statutory obligations
- Oversee financial operations including payroll, accounts, bank reconciliations, and end-of-month processes
- Manage external audits and ensure readiness for all financial reviews
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and resource allocation
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, systems, and risk management practices
- Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and government agencies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- CA/CPA accreditation highly desirable
- Proven experience in financial management or as a financial controller, preferably in an educational or not-for-profit environment
- Deep understanding of accounting standards, financial analysis, and compliance requirements
- High-level analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach

Start Date: August 2025, or as negotiated with the successful candidate.
Salary range:$120,000 – $150,000 per annum plus superannuation (pro-rata for part-time), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
