Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced and energetic early childhood educators to join our dynamic Pre-School team.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Pre-School team starting in Term 1, 2026. Our Pre-Schools are nurturing, play-based environments where children thrive and educators are supported to deliver high-quality, inspiring programs.
At St Michael’s Pre-School, we are seeking a part-time Educator to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, supporting the Class Teacher with our 3 Day Group children.
At St Mark’s Pre-School, we are looking for a full-time Educator, Monday to Friday, working alongside the Class Teacher with our 5 Day Group.
ABOUT YOU
You are an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated early childhood professional who is genuinely passionate about working with children aged 3 to 5 years. You thrive in a collaborative team environment, bring positivity to your work, and value strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
You demonstrate a thorough understanding of best practice in early childhood education and maintain a deep commitment to designing and delivering high-quality, creative, play-based and differentiated programs that support every child’s learning, agency and wellbeing.
With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you are able to engage thoughtfully with families and work in partnership with your teaching team. You uphold high professional standards, reflect on your practice, and contribute actively to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning community.
SELECTION CRITERIA
— Demonstrated exemplary understanding of best practice in the early years
— Ability to support the class teacher to implement differentiated and creative programmes in an early education setting
— Experience in digital documentation and journals
— Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
— Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
— Certificate III with experience in additional needs and inclusion support
— A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
— Strong physical, mental and emotional health to deal with the required demands and responsibilities of the role
— Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
— A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
— A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be advantageous.
