Permanent Full-time (can be 4 days for the right person) | Reports to Head of Boarding 

We’re seeking a dependable Boarding Administration Assistant to provide essential support to the Head of Boarding and help keep our boarding program running smoothly.

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key role in coordinating student travel, managing staff rosters, assisting with communication, and supporting events and day-to-day operations. Sensitivity to the needs of rural families, overseas students, and Indigenous students is essential, as you’ll help foster a warm and inclusive community.

This is a 47-week position including 4 weeks of annual leave to be taken during non-term time: You’ll work 40 weeks during the term plus a further 3 weeks in non-term periods to support key boarding operations. Your annual salary will be averaged and prorated to ensure consistent fortnightly payments throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Boarding, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records for student travel, staff rosters, and boarding documentation.
  • Organise travel bookings for boarding students and liaise with families to confirm plans.
  • Assist with creating and updating staff rosters, ensuring coverage across all boarding houses.
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries from students, parents, and staff.
  • Support boarding events and activities by coordinating logistics such as transport, catering, and supplies.
  • May be required to step into the boarding house from time to time as a boarding assistant to help support the team

About You

  • Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role (school or boarding experience highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills – you love a good checklist!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data systems.
  • Professional discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of rural, overseas, and Indigenous students and families.
