The College is seeking a highly dedicated and experienced professional to assume the critical role of Head of Sport (Senior School). This new leadership position offers an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic Sports Department and significantly contribute to providing high-quality, engaging sporting opportunities for our students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership and Management: The role involves providing high-quality administrative and organisational skills to develop, deliver, and lead multiple sporting programs across the Senior School, ensuring they are run efficiently and professionally.
  • Staff Leadership and Coaching Development: You will collaborate with the Sports Department to seek out, employ, and lead qualified coaching staff, including organising training sessions and providing evaluations to ensure a positive and high-standard learning environment.
  • Student Pathway and Development: A key focus is preparing students for competition through the development of staged programs, overseeing individual athlete development, and managing participation in representative pathway trials (IGSA, NSWCIS, etc.).
  • Operational Oversight and Compliance: This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Senior School sports programs, including scheduling, communication, data maintenance, managing risk, and ensuring all WHS and College protocols are strictly followed.

We are also looking for a candidate who has: 

  • Extensive Experience and Qualifications: The role requires 5+ years of Sports Management experience, relevant tertiary qualifications, and current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Diverse Coaching and Management Skillset: Candidates must offer proven coaching and management experience across various sports, with high-level netball experience being an advantage.
  • Superior Administrative and Communication Abilities: Demonstrated excellent organisational, administration, time management, and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Flexible Availability: Availability to work outside of regular school hours, including early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and during non-term time for tours, is mandatory.
