Position Title: College Nurse (Casual)
Commencement Date: Immediate
Hours: 10am to 2pm, term days. Permanent Thursdays available

Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a vibrant P-12 independent College located with close access to the M5 and M7 in the growing southwest of Sydney. The College is seeking to employ a casual nurse to assist with the College Clinic. The role is responsible for the provision of first aid services and health information to College students.

Key Selection Criteria

the successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria:

  • Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible-based Christian Church
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of school nursing incorporating child and adolescent health and development
  • Coordinate, organise and provide health promotion considering a whole of school community approach
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and computer literacy
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing appropriately with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Experience with the care of diabetics
  • Previous experience in a school environment would be highly advantageous

  • Valid NSW Working with Children details (WWCC)
