Suitably experienced and qualified applicants are invited to apply for this fixed-term, full-time term-time Receptionist position, to cover a period of leave and commencing as soon as possible.

 

The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Academic Executive Administration Team for a an enthusiastic and customer service focused Receptionist to join Radford College.

This is a full-time position, working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, term-time only. The position is available for an immediate start and will conclude at the end of July 2026.

 

About the role

The Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for Radford College, displaying exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders. You will assist in the efficient running of the Main Reception, located within the Secondary School.

You will be responsible for responding to telephone, email and face to face inquiries in an efficient, professional and friendly manner. In addition, you will greet all visitors to the College and ensuring sign in/out processes are followed, process incoming and outgoing mail, and assist with other administrative tasks as required.

The Receptionist also provides First Aid support to students and staff and support during Emergency Procedures (fire, evacuation etc.).

About you

You will bring prior experience in an administrative role, ideally in a school or office environment with a strong, customer centred approach and strong communication skills.

 

You will possess excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously as required. You will be a confident self-starter who enjoys building relationships and has a flexible approach to your work.

 

Candidates must:

 

·         Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

·         Have excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in engaging with stakeholders

·         Be technically competent and confident in the MSOffice suite and willing to learn school systems, such as Synergetic.

·         Be able to work as a team and independently, when required

·         Be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to grow through the sharing of best practice and professional experience

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems e.g. Synergetic or similar, or willingness to learn.
·         Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain.

·         Working With Vulnerable People Clearance.
