PLC Sydney is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This new role has come about through the ongoing success and rapid growth of the College.

Our Finance Department provides a range of finance and administrative services to both PLC Sydney and PLC Armidale, plus works collaboratively with the wider Administration team at the College to continuously improve our processes, procedures, and systems.

Reporting to the Head of Business Operations & Administration, this position will work closely with the Financial Controller, to manage the College’s finance functions, processes, and procedures.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Financial reporting, including dashboards and scorecards, to ensure the College meets its external government and reporting obligations
  • Debtor management and processes
  • Undertaking the annual budgeting process
  • Overseeing the College’s capital expenditure, project costs & depreciation
  • Ensuring all Payroll and Accounts Receivable processes and financial controls are compliant, in place, and adhered to
  • Assisting with ongoing system improvements and digital transformation
  • Leading the Payroll and Accounts Receivable team

The successful candidate will:

  • Be CPA qualified with 5-10 years experience post-qualification in a high-volume financial accounting environment
  • Have demonstrated experience in payroll, accounts receivable & financial reporting functions
  • Have team management & leadership experience
  • Have strong relationship skills combined with excellent customer service skills
  • Have experience with a range of platforms including MYOB Acumatica, Eftsure, BoardPro, and Google Workspace in addition to MS Office
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

 

The role will suit someone who brings a depth of operational experience and a focus on continuous improvement, combined with excellent organisational & relationship skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support to our school community.

Experience in a school environment, whilst not essential, would be well regarded.

Salary is based on qualifications and experience.

You will need to provide, or obtain a Working With Children Clearance Number and date of birth.

You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
