About the Role
As the Director of Learning and Teaching, you will play a key role in shaping the school’s educational vision and ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students. You will work closely with staff, students, and the leadership team to enhance pedagogy, curriculum design, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Oversee curriculum planning and assessment across all year levels.
- Support and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in academic achievement and student engagement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and lifelong learning among staff and students.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hold or be eligible for NESA accreditation and a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- A strong background in curriculum leadership and teaching excellence.
- A deep understanding of contemporary educational research and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of timetabling processes.
- Proven experience in staff development and instructional coaching.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of independent education.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and school leadership.
