Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths teacher to join our Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead and manage the History and Geography departments, ensuring effective planning, delivery, and assessment of the curriculum.
– Develop and implement departmental policies, strategies, and initiatives to improve student outcomes and teaching quality.
– Oversee the professional development of department staff through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
– Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing interventions where necessary to support underperforming students.
– Work collaboratively with other departments and school leadership to ensure cross-curricular integration and alignment with the school’s goals.
– Manage departmental budgets, resources, and facilities to ensure effective use and access for staff and students.
– Lead extracurricular activities related to History and Geography, including field trips, clubs, and other student enrichment opportunities.
– Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.

Key Selection Criteria:

– Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
– Extensive teaching experience in secondary education.
– Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment practices.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Commitment to the values and ethos of Islamic education.
– Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
